Team USA Outlasts South Sudan in Thriller

21-5 Run Lifts Americans to Victory

Team USA bounced back from a 16-point deficit to defeat South Sudan 101-100 in an exhibition game on Sunday night.

The Americans struggled offensively in the first half, but they turned things around in the third quarter with a 21-5 run. Devin Booker's 3-pointer with 58 seconds left in the period tied the score at 76-76. LeBron James scored a game-high 25 points, including the winning basket with 1.3 seconds remaining.

The win is a good sign for Team USA, which is preparing for the 2024 Paris Olympics. The Americans are now 3-1 in exhibition games this summer. They will face Spain in their final exhibition game on Tuesday.

South Sudan gave Team USA a run for its money, but the Americans ultimately had too much firepower. The South Sudanese were led by Nuni Omot, who scored 26 points. Kuany Kuany added 24 points and 10 rebounds.
