Dillinger's Getaway Car and Artifacts to Be Displayed at Museum

Notorious Gangster's Vehicle and Weapons to Be Exhibited

October 27th Event to Feature Expert Mark Love

On March 3, 1934, John Dillinger's infamous getaway car, a 1934 Ford V8, was used by the notorious gangster after a daring escape from police custody. Now, the car and a collection of Dillinger artifacts, including a Thompson submachine gun, will be on display at the museum on Wednesday, October 27, 2021.

The Essex Terraplane 8 was one of Dillinger's favorite getaway vehicles and is often cited as being used in several of his daring robberies and escapes. John Dillinger enthusiast and expert Mark Love will be present at the museum to provide insights into Dillinger's life and criminal activities.
