Heskey issues advice to Leicester players ahead of Everton clash

Former Leicester striker Emile Heskey has urged the current crop of Foxes players to show more fight and determination when they face Everton on Sunday.

Heskey, who scored 43 goals in 195 appearances for Leicester, believes the team needs to be more clinical in front of goal and work harder off the ball if they are to get a positive result at Goodison Park.

“Leicester have been in poor form in recent weeks, and they need to start turning things around soon,” Heskey told LCFC TV.

“They have a tough game against Everton on Sunday, but it is a game they can win if they play to their potential.”

“The players need to show more fight and determination, and they need to be more clinical in front of goal.

“They also need to work harder off the ball, and they need to make sure they are winning the second balls.

“If they can do that, then I am sure they can get a positive result.”

Everton have won their last two games in the Premier League, and they will be confident of getting another victory against Leicester.

However, Heskey believes that Leicester can cause Everton problems if they play to their strengths.

“Leicester have some very good players, and they can cause any team problems on their day,” Heskey said.

“They need to be more consistent, but they have the potential to be a very good team.”

The match between Everton and Leicester will be played at Goodison Park on Sunday, August 28, 2022.
